The mission:
Tango League is an adidas initiative to find the rawest street-footballing talent across the globe. Now, it was our turn to launch the underground, urban street tournament in the UAE.
The meaning:
This initiative gives local footballers the chance of a lifetime— to make it to the global stage. Winners would get to show off their skills in Russia during the FIFA World Cup 2018, for a chance to join Xabi Alonso’s Tango Squad FC. So, the stakes were high!
Execution:
We planned a full-day street football tournament with 16 teams from the UAE and KSA hosted in a warehouse in Al Quoz— an urban, amped-up, adrenaline-filled space that gave the players their moment to shine.
